PM Vishwakarma Yojana 2024: Applications for PM Vishwakarma Yojana 2024 have started. PM Vishwakarma Kaushal Samman Yojana has been started by the Central Government. The scheme was launched by the Prime Minister on the auspicious occasion of Vishwakarma Jayanti on 17 September 2023.
PM Vishwakarma Yojana has been made especially for the traditional artisans and craftsmen of the state. Under the Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana, the government provides financial assistance to the artisans and craftsmen of the country.
PM Vishwakarma Yojana 2024 seeks to make them self-reliant by providing skill training, financial assistance and market links to artisans and craftsmen through programs. Under the scheme, a loan facility of up to Rs 3 lakh is also being provided to artisans and craftsmen.

To provide the benefits of Vishwakarma Yojana, 18 categories have been ensured by the government. In this, all persons between 18 years to 50 years can apply. Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana benefits goldsmiths, tailors, sculptors, gunsmiths, stone carvers, cobblers/shoemakers, artisans, doll and toy makers, hammer and toolkit makers, fishing net makers and basket/mat/broom makers.

PM Vishwakarma Yojana 2024 Required Documents
For PM Vishwakarma Yojana 2024, the candidate must have the necessary documents like an Aadhar Card, Identity Card, Domicile Certificate, Caste Certificate, Mobile Number, Passport Size Photo, Bank Account Number etc.
PM Vishwakarma Yojana 2024 Benefits
Under PM Vishwakarma Yojana 2024, all eligible persons will be given 5 days of basic training and 15 days or more advanced training after skill verification. There is also a provision to give a daily allowance of Rs 500 for training. There is a facility to provide a grant of Rs 15,000 as an incentive for purchasing training equipment. Under this scheme, more than 30 lakh traditional artisans and craftsmen of the country will be benefited.
- Under ‘PM Vishwakarma Kaushal Samman Yojana’, a loan of Rs 3 lakh will be provided by the government to eligible people at a concessional interest rate of 5%. In the first phase, a loan of Rs 1 lakh will be given to eligible persons, while in the second phase, a loan of up to Rs 2 lakh can be taken.
- Beneficiaries will be given 5 days of basic training and 15 days or more advanced training after skill verification. There is a provision to give a daily allowance of Rs 500 for training. There is a facility to provide a grant of Rs 15,000 as a toolkit incentive. As an incentive for digital transactions, Rs 1 per transaction has been fixed for a maximum transaction of Rs 100 per month.
